thanks for the reply. i am going to bring that up to my endo doc when i see her on May 3rd. i was thinking Hashimoto too, been reading a lot on the internet and it sounds like it too. sounds like hypothyroidism because of the eye problem and also the weight problem too, hyperthyroidism you loose weight not gain weight.
thanks agian,

Why, with those levels, would the doc diagnose you with Graves and NOT Hashimoto's, too???
Hashimoto's isn't cancer, but occasionally our messy thyroids create nodules that can lead to cancer. Get an ultrsound of the thyroid if you haven't had one already. If you have had one, and they'd suspected cancer, they would have told you by now.
You have a very high antibody count, indicating Hashimoto's. I see your TSI is also high. Occasionally, people have Hashi and Graves disease. Strange and if that goiter gets too big, you might want to discuss thyroid removal before it does damage to your eyes.
I take Selenium (200 strength) once a day for thyroid swelling. It really works.
This site lists thryoid docs recommended by other patients if you feel you aren't getting proper care or if you want a second opinion.
