Hypothyroid symptoms (extreme) and nodules found...yet

..further testing reveals everything to be fine. I have my nodule biopsy soon, but current results are normal, yet again.

Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab -  9 IU/mL Range 0  - 34

Antithyroglobulin Ab--  <20  Range 0 - 40

Thyroid Stim Immunoglobulin  26% Range 0 - 139

Thyrotropin Receptor Ab serum - <0.51 Range 0.00 - 1.75

My TSH and FT4 will be redone tomorrow, but they are always within normal  range. The only thing that is making doctors believe me when I say it is my thyroid, are the newly found nodules.

Can they be causing so many problems and my results STILL look great. My doctors always tell me that I look great on paper.

Yes, that is still the case. I am on 30 mg of Armour. I am waiting to hear from my endo if I can up it.

I see from a prior post that you were on Armour, is that still the case?

Yes I know about the FT3 test, I can't seem to get a doctor to test that. I don't know what gives.

Certainly, you can have symptoms while blood test results remain normal. While initially my thyroid blood levels were obviously out of range, they went into range with only a tiny dose of levothyroxine (25mcg). However, I felt absolutely no relief of symptoms, despite looking within range on paper (TSH was 2.4!). It took a switch of meds and a larger dose before I felt good. So yes, many of us hypo patients have found blood tests to be an unreliable measure of thyroid health.

The good news is, you don't appear to have Hashi's antibodies-- perhaps iodine levels/supplementation is something to look into?

It could be worth having your Free T3 tested this time as well. Then please post your lab results when you get them.
