I had very hypo thyroid when the Armour brand stopped shipping in 2009. So it took a long time to feel better after a couple of other brands of thyroid med (long story). During the later part of that time is when my adrenals were low in the afternoon.
Its difficult to differentiate thyroid symptoms from adrenal symptoms, some overlap. What I can say if some symptoms went away about three months into adrenal support. Then other symptoms went away after increased thyroid med. Thyroid med did make me feel a little ill at dosing , very warm, jittery, blurry vision at times before I did the adrenal support. Coincidence, or did something heal, no way to prove it, but i do feel much better now.
My AM cortisol is below normal range, doc doing a PM tomorrow. Did you have bad reactions to thyroid treatment like trembling and palps etc... when raising and not responding to treatment? I have felt awful. My temps have been running a little high for me; I feel hot internally, then chilled, blurred vision, headaches, dizzy, acne and episodes of rapid heart rate. Thyroid results are lowish;meds need to go up but I'm waiting to see about Adrenal treatment from doc. Will treat myself if necessary. I seem to occasionally get sharp pains near Kidneys too. My whole body reacts oddly to loud noises and I startle easily [this comes and goes]. Have you had any of this? Have you improved with treatment? Thank you!
I'm waiting for cortisyn stimulation test results since my cortisol level was low before I had surgery. Mine was 7.2 when it should've been a minimum of 10. Just a week ago I had a total thyroidectomy also due to Hashimoto's thyroiditist with 7 nodules (it was 10x larger than normal according to the surgeon).
I had low cortisol levels the afternoon. So that was a gray area that MD's shake their head at.
I went with natural adrenal support, vit C, seasalt and most importantly Holy Basil. There are other supps (goggle), just have to try them to see what your body likes. Several natural adrenal support mixtures out there too - another thing to try.
LOW CORTISOL HAPPENS AT NIGHT AND YOU CANT SLEEP IS THIS WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH YOU THERE'S MEDS FOR IT I AM NOT SURE WHAT THEY ARE AT THIS POINT
