thyroid help

I am hypothyroid, why do I feel a 'lump' in my throat, like there's a piece of food that just won't go down?

Thanks for your response. My gp hasn't ordered a sonogram yet. He just keeps sending me for blood work every 4-6 weeks and briefly looks at my neck. In may of this year my tsh was 9.44 so he increased the synthroid, I was checked again in sept. and it had dropped to 7.6 so he increased again. I have other issues going on which seems to be connected to this, but I don't know. A necktie is also a good reference, it comes and goes.

your thyroid is probably swollen from the attack on the gland. Have you been checked for nodules by having a sonogram?  I have the same problem as you, feels like there is a necktie around my throat, although the last couple of days it has not been that intense.  Are you on any thryoid hormone?
