Ft4 down to 1.0, TSH up from 10.6 to 18.3, serum calcium 8.8, urine calcium 600, all renal function normal
PTH bounces around, serum calcium moves between 8.8 to 9.8, ft4 1,8 to 1.0
What is this????

Hi Barb,

I have been Hashimotos hypothyroid for over 20 years I was on Levo .200 for almost 18 years with no issues, then all of a sudden leves went all over from 70 to 10. obvious change of meds. Stableized or so we thought.
I had an episode of Afib jan 2011 had to be shocked back into rythem due to thyroid going form hypo to hyper. I am currently on synthroid 112 4 times a week and 125 3 times a week. They are moving the meds slowly to make sure that I do not go hyper again. However my tsh was as low as 8 and is now 18 with synthroid being increased. I was told by the Dr Office that I should not have been over 250.
I had another blood draw today they are testing
PTH, FT3, FSH, Phosphorus, Ionized Calcium.
My Endo is currently at a conference and has taken my records to discuss them.  I think my issue is more parathyroid.

What is the normal range for the urine calcium?  Also, for the serum calcium and the FT4.  Different labs use different ranges, so those have to come from your own report.

Are you, currently, on thyroid medication? If so, which med(s) at what dosage(s)?  For how long?

Is your PTH bouncing around within the range, or is it going out of the range?  How often are you getting it tested?

Your TSH and FT4 indicate that you are hypo and either need to be put on medication or your dosage should be increased, if you're already on med.
Are you getting tested for the active thyroid hormone, FT3?  If not, you should ask your doctor to test that, along with the FT4 and TSH.
