I should start by welcoming you to the forum.

The thread you dug up is three years old, not five. It does have some interesting information in it, I will admit.

I don't trust anything from Mary's site, because of the bias she has developed.

The study Jim sites is a perfect example. All these peole being treated for hypothyroidism and they still feel ill. There is no mention at all of what the thyroid hormone levels these people who responded to the study had.

I'll bet if you dig around enough you will find Mary used it as a platform to rail against synthetic replacement hormones.

If you read between the lines, it highlights the fact that many doctors do not understand hormone tests or what "good" levels really are.

Just my "I don't like Mary" opinion.

Mary Shomon has become the queen of disinformation.
The only valuable thing in that thread is the name Jim Lowe.
