suspicious follicular adenoma

Hi all,
I am 25 years old female originally from Asia now in USA. I noticed thyroid nodule when I was 16. It didnot make any trouble to me so Dr.s in  asia told me to just watch. But in last 10 years its size never changed and it didnt make any trouble to me.. But from the last year I have been feeling hot in my body, fatigue and some time constipation and dry skin. So I went to see a doctor here. Then doctor asked me to do ultrasound.Ultrasound showed 1.7cm nodule in right lobe and 5mm nodule in left lobe of the thyriod. After that I had FNA. My FNA result is as follows.
comment/prognosis: The findings are suspicious for a follicular neoplasm and could potentially represent follicular adenoma, although follicular carcinoma is not excluded. The differential diagnosis include a cellular adenomatoid nodule or other hyperplastic process.
ENT doctor told me to have a surgery sooner than later. But also, I went to see a General surgeon, but this time Surgeon recommended me to wait for a couple of weeks, in the mean time he will consult with other doctors because he did not have any case like me ( healthy 25 years female having nodule w/o problem for 10 years)
Does anybody have this situation,  can you please suggest me what is the best option for me. Do I need to have a surgery right now or can I wait for 6 months?
I really apppreciate your suggestions.
Thanks,

I'm sorry you're having this situation, especially being so young.  I can't really say for sure what you should do.  Maybe after the drs consult with each you'll have a clearer picture.

Perhaps others here will be able to chime in for you.

We are always here to offer support.

Take care.
