Laura1967 How are you feeling?

How are you feeling since your gallbladder surgery earlier this week?  Is the GB pain gone?  How is your thyroid acting with this?

Hi C!
I am doing much better, but am pretty fatigued as of today. My doctor warned me that any type of trauma and surgery will drop your T3 levels down further. I was already hypo 4days before surgery, so I am figuring this exhaustion is due to thyroid. My meds were upped 4 days before surgery.
I am 4 days post op, so I am doing great as far as that is concerned. Still very restricted with movement, but off the pain meds and doing tylenol arthritis.
GB pain is gone, just have the bruising and healing pain to contend with. Very thankful it is over! I have post op appt on wed of next week.
My surgeon and staff opted to give me solucortef during surgery to combat adrenal stress and thyroid inflammation. Quite amazing as it worked and my thyroid has not swollen from the stress!!
Still on bedrest quite a bit but getting back in the groove! Thanks for everyone's prayers and thoughts! Hope to be back on regularly now!!
:)  :)
