I have been feeling "off" for a while, and have been consistently experiencing symptoms that I suspected might indicate hypothyroidism (extreme weight gain, fatigue, dry hair, low body temp averaging 97.1, amenorrhea, etc), so I had a thyroid panel done in order to see if that might be the problem. The only medication/supplements that I take are allegra for allergy problems that I have suddenly developed and a multivitamin. I have not gone to the doctor yet, but I have an appointment next week. My results were:
TSH 6.9 µU/mL (reference range 0.5-3.0)
Free T3 3.8 pg/mL (reference range 2.5-6.5)
Free T4 1.7 ng/dL (reference range 0.7-2.5)
TPOab 22 IU/mL (reference range 0-150 (70-150 borderline))
I'm not sure what to make of this. With my symptoms and a high TSH, shouldn't the Free T4 be lower?
