Hypothyroidism and Hair Loss

I've lost a significant amount of hair from thyroid/Levothyroxine.  How long does it take to see regrowth, and is it usually complete regrowth?

Prior to Levo TSH- 4, Free T4- 1.1; no symptoms
Currently off levo due to misdiagnosis.   Want my hair back, any help regarding regrowth would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you question that maybe it is the type of meds, rather than the amount of meds and the resultant level of thyroid hormones in your body?  Hypo symptoms (including hair loss) won't subside until the levels of active thyroid hormones in your body (free T3 and free T4) are adequate.   Please post actual results and reference ranges from any thyroid tests that have been done for you.

I wish I could help you - *I* lost my hair BEFORE starting on meds and after a few weeks on med, the loss slowed down.  When I go hypo now, mine starts falling out again...... I know there are some who have lost hair from the meds though.
