I need help/advice PLEASEE

Good morning everyone.  I need your help/advice.  I have chronic sinusitis and allergic rhinitis.  My chronic sinusitis I have had for many years now, to a put that I have had to have surgery almost every 3 years.  And sure enough this is my 3rd year, and I am scheduled for surgry on the 25th.  My ENT had sent me to a allergist last month and that's how I got dx with allergic rhinitis.  My allergic rhinitis is what seems to be triggering my sinus problems.  The allergist has recommanded immunotherapy as a treatment - but he did state that due to my hashimoto problem the results may be suboptimal.  Has anyone with Hashimoto has had this immunotherapy treatment before??? Any complications or benifits from this treatment??? Please help me.  Since we all know doctor's aren't too experienced in this area I am relying on help from you guys.  I really dont want to have this surgry AGAIN after the 25th.  Also, I was wondering can chronis sinusitis hav anything to do with Hashimoto's??? PLEASE HELP

Have you checked into the possibility of your persistant sinusitis as having a fungal etiology? The Mayo system in 1999 finally realized a lot of sinusitis is fungal and anti-biotics will only feed the fungus. This is why it keeps coming back. My dad had his sinuses augered out and it was fungus. Surprise surprise! I had been telling him this for years but of course he would only listen to his (quack) doctor. Please check it out.

Thanks for the reply.  Maybe this is something that you need to also ask your allergist about.

Wow- my allergist never said a thing about that.  I also have chronic sinusitis (I am on antibiotics right now with an infection).  I also have Hashimoto's and am doing immunotherapy with the allergy shots.  I have had less infections since starting the therapy.  I have one now because my daughter gave me a cold and then it turned into a sinus infection.  I have had good results with the allergy shots.
