Armour Thyroid and Cytomel?

I was hypo and felt terrible for about 2 years even though on Armour Thyroid.  My doctor added Cytomel and I felt so much better.  That was 5 years ago and I still feel great!  I have no symptoms of being hyperthyroid. My blood pressure is normal/low, heart rate fine, etc. I also had an ultra sound on my thyroid and it came back normal.

However, my doctor retired and she had been my dr. and trusted friend for 23 years.  Trying to find new doc.  First doctor  said I was hyper, second doctor said I wasn't hyper, third doctor said I wasn't hyper, my ent said something is suppressed (which I guess means hyper???)  I am so confused and so scared that the meds will change and I will go back to feeling like a a "lump". But, if my health is in danger I am an educated woman and know I need to do what I need to do.

My readings-which I am sure will shock people but my real doctor believed in my case to keep them the way they were (she did reduce the dosage of each med along the way):
T4 Total 4.6 mcg/dl
TSH, 3rd generation 0.01
She marked those results "Stable. recheck in 6 months"

If you feel great, you have achieved hypothyroid victory. Don't let a lab test mess with that.

I agree...how can any doctor argue with five years of personal success with meds?

What your doctor probably was saying was that your TSH is suppressed.  It is very low, but that often happens when people are on meds, and it simply has to be ignored.  Meds with T3 in them (any you're getting a lot of T3 between the Armour and the Cytomel) often suppress TSH even more readily.  You are only hyper if you feel hyper.

Which doctor ran the TT4 and TSH tests you post above?  TT4 is considered obsolete, replaced with FREE T4, which is more useful.  FREE T3 should also be included, especially when you're on meds with T3 in them.

I take 30mg Armour and 5 mcg Cytomel in the morning at 6:30am  and 30mg Armour and 5 McG Cytomel again at 3pm. I feel great, much better than when they had me on just 30mg Armour once a day.

It is good that you feel so much better, even though your dosage is a bit less than what I would have expected to be needed.   Do you have any symptoms at all?  If so, what are they?  also, what are your thyroid related test results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report?  Do you take your thyroid med in the morning before the blood draw for thyroid tests?   Have you been tested for Vitamin D,  B12 and ferritin?  Those are frequently deficient with hypothyroidism, and they are important.
