thank you very much for answering it was a relief to be able to think that she can actually live a normal life after all shes gone through does the tsh cause dizziness and feeling like gagging thanks for everything and i will talk to her doctor regardin an ultrasound
TSH 100 time higher then normal is severe hypothyroidism, you should ask the doctor for free T3, free T4 ,thyroid antibodies and an ultrasound. Dr. will prescribe levothyroxin (T4) and she must take it for the rest of her life. As soon as she starts medication (takes 4-6 weeks or more..) she will be fine. Don't forget she must control her TSH, free T3 and free T4 every 6 weeks until her TSH comes to 1-2.
