Lobular Morphology
I don't understand the findings on the ulltrasound which states: The thyroid gland is enlarged with a globular morphology. What does this mean?
FYI, the cystic nodules can be treated using ethanol ablation procedure (abbreviated PEI)in place of surgery; using this procedure on solid nodules was not as successful.
Thank you so much for clearing this up. I feel so much better. I have been monitored for 3 years for a growing multinodular goiter which has progressed to the point that a thyroidectomy is being scheduled. I'm glad the findings have not introduced anything new to worry about. Thank you again.
