Never look back --- only ahead :)
We all deal with and work things though as we can in the moment ... it's always easier afterward to say I should have or "if " .. the word "if" doesn't belong in our vocab!
C~
ps: I had partial in 1/07 and still have a 4.0 mm nodule on the intact side. It gets easier but never goes away ..;. the "what if's "
It really is prayers answered...I wish I could go back and stop all the worrying and crying I did for the last 3 months but I guess that was part of the process....
Sounds like the best Christmas present anyone could receive. Congrats.
Hi
First off sorry to hear that your having such a tough time getting anything done!
I had some symptoms of a hypo thyroid and my Tsh was a little high which led to the
ultrasound, than FNA....Your headache and dizziness could very well be the result of your
thyroid not functioning properly...have you had any thyroid bloodwork at all?
I would relax until you get through the FNA and see what the results are of that. My biggest nodule was 1.5 cm they took out half my thyroid....I am unsure if I will need thyroid medication at this time. It wasn't cancer, but my brother and sister both had thyroid cancer and they are just fine...don't think cancer at this point....wait and see what the FNA says...and if it is cancer it is very very curable...I know its hard to say but I have had the same thoughts your having right now..thinking worst case .....hang in there....let us know what the FNA says.....there are alot of good people on here that can help guide you through this.....take care!
I am getting an FNA tomorrow and then will hear what they want to do. So far, left nodule 22mm. Nothing on right. I have been having weird symptoms for a few weeks, going from one doctor to another. The mass on thyroid was spotted via neck/spine MRI as incidental. I'm nervous that they keep delaying doing anything for me. I began with headaches and dizziness but nothing in throat. Now after 6 weeks of nothing coming up in any tests, they saw this thing. Just a few days ago I started feeling like I had a sore throat. I hope this doesn't indicate that it is cancer. What is your experience? Did you feel anything in your throat?
Congratulations!! No doubt the best gift ever to be received.
