dealing with hypothyroid

hello there, i am 16 and have been diagnosed with hypothyroid or hashimotos (not quite sure which nor the difference) and i have been on medication for almost 3 months now. i was told that i should feel better by now but i feel so much worse. i'm upset as i'm worried that i may soon get depressed because i havnt been myself for so long now. i dont feel i can even communicate or be myself properly anymore and its like theres a brick in my head. i was wondering if this feeling actually does go away???
thank you xx

I'm not sure but maybe some of what I told her may help you too.  My daughter went through this when she was 17.  Good luck
