Still not right

Dec 2007 I was diagnosed with Hash. Thyroid disorder. I was exhausted, my extremities were swollen, I had episodes of facial spasms that (my sister who has worked in the medical field for decades) were said to look like TIA episodes or Bell's palsy. My doctor found my TSH levels to be just over 400 and brought in another doctor to make sure because he stated "You say you feel a little exhausted, you should feel a little coma" he explained that I had probably been suffering with the disease for about 6 years from the history I gave of bodily changes. That was a year ago, my extremities are still swollen but my TSH is now at a stable 2. I have abdominal pain that wanders, I am still exhausted but have insomnia most nights, weight gain, night sweats, joint pain, and excruciating headaches. My question is that from my body being saturated with all of the hormones for so long will my normal 38 year old levels of HGH be good enough to repair my body? Could I also be suffering from Fibromyalgia or CFS? Are these legitimate questions or am I becoming a hypochondriac?

With hashimoto's a tsh of 2 is still hypo....My endo specializes in thyroid and he told me that anyone with hashi's should have a supressed TSH of .50-1.0 in order to feel good and to allow the body to heal.
Also have they tested your Free T4 and Free T3 levels? That is critical in order to see the whole picture. If you have a low free t3 with a normal free t4 you will also still feel very hypo. You need to have all these tests done, because you never know.
It may be simply that you are being undertreated, need more meds, need different meds, or it could be something else. But, I would deal with the thyroid first. :)
Oh yeah....and don't ever think you are a hypochondriac! You know your body better than anyone! :)

I also had a full thyroidectomy that Dec. because my goiter was from ear to ear, jawbone to collar bones and was growing inward cutting off my circulation and breathing.
