Endo visit today

Endo bumped my synthroid from125 mcg to 175 as my tsh was still a little high.So as long as I dont go manic I should be ok.BAd news I gained 4 pounds.uggg!!!.Oh well I am back at the gym next week and I am pretty sure it is just water weight.this humidity has me so swollen.Come on October.

Me, too, 5'10 .. medium/large frame ... time for truth or fiction.  I now weigh 191.5 ...... I dropped 9 after surgery and then gained 5.5 after gaining back the 9 I dropped .... EEK!!!!!!  But I, too, am tall and "they" say, "oh you can handle it and looks ok" ..... but it keeps going up w/o reason!  VERY frustrating.

My TSH is 0.669

It's such a battle.  I am at 150mcg for a week now- my tsh was 32 so he increased me from 100mcg.  I hate the weight gain thing- it's so depressing to me.  I lost 6 lbs. with my tt and of course gained it back plus 3 more.  Most people don't notice since i am 5'10" but I do....I guess i need to worry about getting regulated first.  Hang in there- hope you feel well.

I notice a change in about a week after changing dosing.I took my 1st 175 mcg this am and I feel pretty good.
My TSH was around 6 and endo wants it at .1 and being manic or at least a little manic is ok by me I get lots done and my house gets super clean .lol.
I am going  back to the gym on Monday and see how I do.Istill feel a little weak from being sick.The grocery store just wipes me out.So I am going fo a nap.lol

Do you know how long it takes for the synthroid to take affect?  When you up the dose by that much, will you feel different immediately?  I haven't been prescribed anything yet, and won't until the RAI is done.
Glad to hear you're recovering well from the pneumonia.  That can kick your hiney for sure!!  Lots of luck with that 4 pounds.  Sounds like you have a good game plan, and I'm sure you can get rid of it.  I've lost 5 since surgery, but I'm sure it's LACK of water!!!

Can you say lasix? =(~  Only thing that gets me through these summers any more.  My aunt says well if you're working outside you shouldn't be retaining water.  Can't convince her all you have to do here is sit outside in the humidity and just soak up the water.  UGH!

That is a big jump in thyroid.  How high was TSH?  You may go hyper.  

I'd be more than willing to go manic for you.  I could use the energy! ;)

Sorry to hear your tsh is high, hopefully you'll adjust ok, That's quite a jump in dose. Hang in there with the 4 lbs. you're probably right about it being water. I'm ready for october too except I wish my flowers would still be blooming. My petunias are getting funky and my giant hostats are blooming so I'm preparing for summer's end.
