Our ultrasound "expert" ? inside .. complex nodule ....

I answer this ? for everybody else, now my turn hee hee hee ...

my ultrasound reveals no change in my 4.0mm hypoechoic complex nodule from the past series of 6mo serial ultrasounds.

The other side had pathology after surgery of folicular adenomas ..

Now my ? .. are those strictly solid and not complex nodules?

All is well and I'm on the 1yr followup plan with my doc .. just was curious as I thought my orig atypical nodules were hypoechoic only and not "complex" on the original ultrasounds.. they were close to 2.0cm's though so we watch carefully the other side.

Just curious as this is the only feature which makes me think this may change in the future and/or not be exactly the same as what was removed on the other side but not worth worrying about since my Endo is fine with it, etc.

The adenomas almost always the solid, not complex nodules.{at least according to the literature]; the funny thing the hypoechoic nodule has difficulty to be evaluated for the fine details, so they could be "complex with hypoechoic areas"
