Hi!  I have been having a lot of pain, fatigue, for several years and in Dec. 08 .....blood tests were done to check for arthritis and other things well it showed the thyroid was elevated and I was called and told I had medicine at the pharmacy and to start taking it.....I can not feel a difference I am on Levothyroxin 50 MCG tab.... I feel terrible all the time no energy at all....I am going to make an appt this week and am not suppose to go back until March......
what are some questions I could ask to learn more about this..... I am so confused....all I know is when people are heavy they say they have a Thryroid problem.....I am so glad I have found this site and look forward to spending more time here.....Thank you!!!!!!!1

Have them check your Vitamin D too. That causes achiness as well. That was my problem.

You need to repeat the analyses to see if you need adjustment of your medication. Fibromyalgia doesn't help, try magnesium after dinner.

When did you started medication? (it takes time for you to feel better) Ask for new blood analyses with TSH, free T3, free T4, TPO and anti-Tg antibodies, full blood count, ferritin , iron in serum, transferin, folic acid, Vit B12 , retyculocite count (to see if you have anemia).
