Yes, I got the name of the doctor and YES, he does take my insurance. I will go back and check the last tests I've had and post them, and THANK YOU!
Wow, you've really been through it. Hopefully we can send some helpful info your way. To start, just having test results within the so-called normal limits is no guarantee that everything is okay. The ranges are far too broad for that to be the case. In addition many doctors have the "immaculate TSH Belief" and don't pay any attention to the actual, biologically active thyroid hormones, which are free T3 and free T4 (not to be confused with total T3 and total T4). FT3 is the most important test because it largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions. Studies have shown that FT3 correlates best with hypo symptoms, while FT4 and TSH did not correlate.
It would be very helpful if you wold post your thyroid test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report. If you haven't been tested for FT3 and FT4 you should request those tests and if the doctor resists, then insist on it and don't take no for an answer. Remember that you are the customer. When the lab report is available, get a copy and post results and reference ranges and members will be glad to help interpret and advise further.
I do have the name of a doctor in your general area, that was recommended by another member. I have sent the info by PM, so please check your email.
