Possible reactions to t3?

Since I started taking five micrograms of t3 (already have 75mcg levo)in the middle of the day on an empty stomach, I have had terrible heartburn just coming in waves all afternoon into the evening. Sometimes at night and I haven't slept at night from more than 2 hours at a time. I'm thinking of discontinuing it and seeing if those issues resolve

I have known of people who had reactions to raising their FT3 level when their ferritin level was too low.  It may be a stretch to assume that is the cause of your heartburn, but it is worth a try.  If you want to do that, supplement with iron for long enough to get your ferritin to at least 100 and then try again with the T3 med.

I get severe constipation and stomach upset with regular iron supplements. Any recommendations? Is there an animal-based food I could eat like chicken liver?
Iron supplements will not be a problem if you take enough Vitamin C to alleviate those reactions.   I expect that 2000 IU of C should be adequate.  If not, take more.   C does not cause a problem.   Any excess is just excreted.
Thank you so much!
Since I stopped taking the t3 4 days ago, other than the first night I've had zero heartburn and I'm sleeping 3 to 4 hours at a chunk. I think I should go get tested and see where my ferritin is at and work on building that up first before I try again. What do you think?

That is what I intended to suggest.  Sorry it was not clear.  Taking the iron supplement for a couple of weeks should be adequate to again try the 5 mcg of T3.
