It is probably a bit of post-op paralysis...I got lucky, I had two surgeries, and no hoarseness, probably because I had a great surgeon, I am a classically trained singer, and my chords are strong. I have heard up to six weeks for some, and that it comes back all at once, kind of overnight. I hope you get it back soon!
I had a paralyzed vocal cord after TT and my voice came back after 6 weeks. It came back overnight, so do try to be patient and I'm sure you will get it back. Good luck.

Here is my story, made it short though. After my thyroidectomy, my vocal cord was damaged. The right side was paralysed. I could not project my voice. Eventually , I gave up. My ENT told he will help me. He directed me to a Speech Therapist. There i went for my speech theraphy on regular basis. He gave me a good period of 6 months, after which he said if my voice is still bad, he will do a surgery to get my voice back. Not sure how but a MIRACLE happened. After the 6th month, he scoped me and there, my paralysed vocal cord was working. Here I am, my voice is not perfect though but improving. So, you just hang in on there and i know all this will take time. Be patient. Good luck! :)
