Post thyroid lobectomy tremors and angry outbursts

My husband had a thyroid lobectomy done about a month ago.  He has had angry outbursts and his hands shake.  His endo tells him that his thyroid levels dropped too low after surgery.  Does anyone have similar symptoms postop?

I'm normally an incredibly patient and mellow person. It takes a lot to upset me. However, in the weeks leading up to my discovery that my thyroid was failing, I started to become incredibly irate.

I didn't have any outbursts or anything, but I wanted to!

People walking in my way, people getting too close to me, taking too long to board the bus, people making a turn before I was finished crossing the street...I felt about this -><- close to screaming at them and I suddenly understood the concept of "street reputation". Thank God I live in a "good" area because if anyone challenged me, we we going to settle it there!

It was incredibly uncharacteristic of me and I knew something was definitely wrong. Thyroid problems can interfere with the rest of the endocrine system and my doctor thinks that is what was happening because I was also having other hormone related symptoms as well.

The irritability resolved when I developed another symptom. Confusion. And I was just too damn confused to remember I was annoyed about something.

Or something like that...I don't remember :-)

Anyway, I've been on synthroid for a few years now and haven't had any of those problems since.

Has he had thyroid tests done since the lobectomy?  If so, please post results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report.
