Regeneration or Bad doctor?

Well, I had a TT in January and I have been waiting for radiation...TWICE, I was turned down because my levels would not go high enough, never over 3.86. I had a CAT scan that showed left thyroid lobe..UHHMMM. OK. My NEW surgeon wanted a thyroid scan...It shows a part of my left lobe is actually intact....So, after three months, Can half of a lobe grow back or did my old surgeon go to sleep during my TT? Will find out Thursday what is going to happen next...

I had a subtotal in December which is how I found out I have cancer. Too much thyroid was left for RAI so toal was done in January. My TSH is 1.86 without meds, cannot get RAI and endo will not give Thyrogen injections.....Help...I'm losing it, because another surgery equals more complicatons, last surgery lost parathyroids and vocal chord damage....

It didn't grow back that fast.
And it wouldn't look all happy and natural.

Did your old surgeon recomend RAI?
Did he maybe save half a lobe on purpose?

Hmm, it sounds almost like you had a subtotal or near total thyroidectomy rather than total.  Did your doctor specifically say he was doing/did a total thyroidectomy?
