Thanks for the cyber hug. It's okay about last night. I'm sure those moments are going to happen frequently, and quite honestly it's probably a good, cleansing thing. I remember months ago talking to my mom and telling her that I thought I had a problem. I couldn't cry. Or wouldn't cry. For years! Well, she done fixed that right on up for me, didn't she?? ;-) The tears started the day she got her test results - which was Jan 17th, and they're still coming. Less frequently, though. My tear ducts are good and primed, that's for sure.
It's sunny here today too. I better look at the forecast, because we normally get what you all get the next day. Six to eight?? Yuck. I'm so DONE with it. It was pretty at first, but not so much anymore. Wanna take a little trip south? I'm ready!!

Oh Dac......it's so good to be back too. I miss my routine. I know that the old routine is gone for good and need to find another. It's so hard. I miss my mom SO much!! I had a small melt down last night and bawled for quite some time. I feel this HUGE void, and probably always will.
Our Pastor said that the beauty of cancer (sounds like an oxymoron to me) is that it gives you time - unlike a car accident, heart attack - something that takes a person instantly. While he's right, it's still hard. We had two weeks. But it gave us time to say goodbye to her - hard as it was.
You all have been so wonderful and supportive, and for that I thank you. It's so nice to have all of you out here that truly care. It's helped me a ton.
It's a date for next Friday!! I'm a good singer ....in my car with the radio turned up real loud! But I'll sing with you! Look out at the Pub next Friday! ;-)

Dac ~ Hellooooooo, my good friend!!! Sorry I missed you last night at the pub. I think the long island did me in. I layed in my bed trying to read and kept slipping in and out. It was a long week! I'm just crawling out from under the virtual bar stool....
You know I'd LOVE to join you for karaoke. I'm a Guitar Hero junkie......we have 1,2,3 and Rockin' to the 80's. Plus Rock Band. I'll sing just about anything. You get to a certain age and it doesn't seem to matter that you're making an arse out of yourself! :-) Plus with my bum vocal cord, those high notes sound reaaaaallllyyy good.
Thanks so much, Stella - for opening up the Pub on Friday!! I know it's sad, but it's seriously something that I'm going to look forward to. I miss my buddies out here so much and think that things are finally settling down enough to where I can find a new routine. This will be a nice thing to add!

Looks like I'm the last to go home for the night. I put all the chairs up and cleaned the bar. Locked it up tight so it will all be ready for next Friday night. Enjoyed my time here tonight, hope to see you all next Friday.

Little Carol came into the kitchen where her mother was making dinner. Her birthday was coming up and she thought this was a good time to tell her mother what she wanted. "Mom, I want a bike for my birthday."
Now, Little Carol was a bit of a troublemaker. She had gotten into trouble at school and at home. Carol's mother asked her if she thought she deserved to get a bike for her birthday. Little Carol, of course, thought she did.
Carol's mother, being a Christian woman, wanted her to reflect on her behavior over the last year, and write a letter to God and tell him why she deserved a bike for her birthday. Little Carol stomped up the steps to her room and sat down to write God a letter.
LETTER 1:
Dear God:
I have been a very good girl this year and I would like a bike for my birthday. I want a red one.
Your friend,
Carol
Carol knew this wasn't true. She had not been a very good girl this year, so she tore up the letter and started over.
LETTER 2:
Dear God:
This is your friend Carol. I have been a pretty good girl this year, and I would like a red bike for my birthday.

Way to go Stella on 23 years and Bryan on your TSH! Wahoo!
Just got back from the pediatric endo with my son - not for diabetes but to order thyroid labs and an ultrasound. We're hoping that the family curse skips the males of the family but better safe than sorry.
I'm still waiting on all of my new labs (taken yesterday) but my TSH is coming in high (for me and cancer patients) at 1.6. :-( Let's hope the Tg isn't higher 'cause I've already had enough radiation all ready!
Pour me one kids and "B" - be on standby, I may get rowdy!
