chest pains

Is anyone else having chest pains?  I get pains when I breathe in.  I don't know if its from the medicine.  Im on a higher dose of synthroid and It seemed to coincide with the time I started taking it.  My chest feels tight most days and I also am having weird abdominal pains as well.  I'm very scared.  I never had any sensations like this before being diagnosed with hypothyroidism.  My levels are now in the normal range and I feel nothing like normal.  I have had chest x rays that are negative and cat scans too.  They tell me nothings going on in my chest but it sure feels like it.

You've attached to a very old thread and theo1212 has not been active on the forum since 2007, so I doubt you will get a response.

If you will post your current thyroid hormone levels, maybe we can help you figure out what's on.  Be sure to include reference ranges, which vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own report.

Have you been talking to your md about this?  Sounds like you might be over medicated and going on the hyper side.  You don't say when your last labs were, but I would request them again.  I was hyper and thought I was coming out of my skin until they lowered my dosage, even then, it was not enough and I quit my meds until I went hypo again and started all over.  Not a good thing to do, but at least the sensations of being hyper subsided.  Also, see if you can have your adrenals checked.  When I started taking DHEA under my mds supervision, I started feeling a lot better.  It is a little costly for the tests, but might be worth it.
