TGIF @ the Thyroid Pub .....continued mystery

OK - I have copied Cheryl's mystery thread regarding the Pub tonight (see below) and remember her clue is medically thyroid related.

What did she find at our favorite Pub shown in this photo.  (Isn't our Pub nice??)

Should be a great community builder trying to guess what this thyroid thing is.

I hope others new here get in on the guessing too.........................calling all "NEW" chicken clubbers.  Come one............ come all!!!



Remember - we have built true friendships due to our conditions as thyroid patients - I personally believe we need a wind down time too - to laugh. Our thyroid conditions wear on us daily - it is a blessing we have each other to kick back one evening and relate to each other as "just people".

Well, last Friday night on the TGIF @ the Thyroid Pub thread we had a great time .. everybody who posted came online for a joke or two and talked about their thyroid week be it good, bad, indifferent or even a chuckle or two completely unrelated!  The thread is sort of chat-room style but is a conventional thread for posting.  We usually do it on Friday nights to unwind and share our week with each other and EVERYBODY IS encouraged to come by .. especially our NEWBIES and LURKERS!!!!

Well, the next morning after the thread I came online and told the virtual members I had found something on the floor of the pub ................................well, I also said that you will have to wait for tomorrow's TGIF thread to find out what it is ...

Anybody have a guess?  And AR - it is not a "body part" .....

Take some guesses today ... I'll come back to the thread later .. maybe early eve .. and see what you think I've found .... and it is something that will help you with your thyroid .....

Hi, ya'll!!! Boy has it been a busy week for me.  I wanna go back to work....this moving stuff is tooooo much work.  Ya never know just how much junk you accumulate over the years until you decide to move overseas where they think large flat is 200 square meters.  See...I'm getting into that whole metric/Euro talk.  I even found a roll of nickels!!!  WhoooHoooo!!!! I'm rich!!!  I also found the obituary of my first husbands grandmother who passed away in 1982.  I've been divorced from husband #1 since 1986,  

I have family coming in from Illinois tomorrow morning to haul back stuff that they so kindly volunteered to "babysit"....especially my flat screen TV.   I spent 2 hours today waiting in line at the passport office.  Turned out it was kinda fun.  The lady behind me used to be married to an Army guy and the guy behind her was Air Force Reserves.  So we all had fun comparing war stories.  

Funny story....Today a moving company came by to give me an estimate on the move to the UK.  The guy was probably in his late 60's and originally from Germany and spoke with this really cool accent.   When I showed him my closet with all my shoes, he says "You only have 2 feet!!!"  Cracked me up!!  

Stella and Utahmamma....Finally someone took my cold off my hands that I had for almost 3 weeks!!!  I have extra throat lozengers and cough drops I can send your ways.  Hope you both feel better soon.!!!!  How about a shot of tequila or whiskey to clear the ole chest!!!

Well, it's after midnight and I still have tons of packing today.

Hey all.  Sorry, I've been feeling *horrible* this week and I just have to tell you that the scopes and tests that those crazy GI kids play with aren't fun at all!

Dac - your (smelly) old recliner is in the back of my truck.  I was going to build my own isolation room with it but between that, my GI problems, and three dachshunds . . . something had to go!  :-)  I had it cleaned - it's all yours.

Not going to be drinking tonight kids.  Tummy is very unhappy and *NO* - I'm not driving any of you home.

Stella, I'll IM you but the only thing that has been working for me is herbal teas and TheraFlu.   Maybe that's what completely messed up my digestive tract.  Hmmmm.

Grrr - off to lay down with my new meds, a heating pad on my tummy, and half of a LorTab.   (sniffle)

What is with this year on colds with me?? I seem to catch every bug this year. ..... hmmmmmm..... maybe a side efffect after switching thyroid meds??

If Utah jumps on... send me an IM - I know you were sick with this stuff. What in the world makes you feel human again?

Came home from work with the flu - just sleeping on and off all day since I got home.

I can't imagine the pub pic being anything but G rated for sure. I hope it comes back for everyone I will post what I had on my photos.

Thunder and lightning outside - scary stuff!

I'm 4 days post op and not bawling like I was last Friday, because it hurts to cry!!! And that's the only reason I'm not crying.  Still freaked out whilte waiting on the path report.

And, again, no drinks for me tonight.  I'm going to take my pain meds and make it an early night.  Hopefully the path report will come back clean and I can finally partake with you fine ladies (and men).

Sounds like just about everybody is having one of those weeks.  I seem to just be crying all this week.  It's been awful.

Anybody got any really good pain pills I'll be more than happy to take them off your hands tonight.  AR took all of mine last Friday night that I had stashed under the bar.

It WAS mine!  Told you I closed up.  Now I know why the new gyn thought I was an idiot Wed.  I lost the Key of Knowledge.  Give it back it was the only hope I had and now it's gone!

Utah, the hussy, stole my recliner last week.  So I don't have anywhere comfy to sit.  Think I'm just gonna stay home tonight and drink alone.  AR you can come join me if you play nice.  Not like Utah.  It's been a really bad week and now that we're at the end of it it's just getting worse.

Learn all you can about your thyroid ... talk with your Doctor .. don't let it all be one sided .. be informed, ask ?'s, be your own advocate, get more than one opinion ...

Knowledge is something never wasted and on this community we have it all rolled into a nice package ... so many people to share so many ideas to help each other and in the process, well, maybe meet a friend or two along the way!

So who lost this key?  

Think about it ... do you have the knowledge of your condition?

Whoever closed up the pub last Friday night dropped it after locking the door.  Ahhh you may figure it out now .. BUT you don't know how it is related to thyroid.

HA HA HA .... WRONG on both guesses .... but you do have me really laughing .. especially on my tiara gone missing .. nah, I have it ... I wear it as proudly as I wear my thyroid surgical scar (like that one?)
