Post Thyroidectomy and feeling bad.

I had a thyroidectomy back in Oct of 2011 from cancer.  I have only had bloodwork done one time since then, on Nov.22.  I do not feel well at all. I feel very hyper and angry and I am having major hair loss on a dosage of 100mcg of Levoxyl.
I have never had my T3's tested, only TSH and T4 back in November.  Shouldn't I be having regular blood tests? My TSH was .54 back in November.  None of my three doctors will even consider testing my T3's.  They say it's not really important.  I am getting a run around??  My next Endo appt. isn't until mid April.  Thanks.

You should be having regular bloodwork at most every six weeks as long as symptoms are present.

As I can tell you know by your question, T3 is VERY important.  FT3 is the test that correlates best with symptoms.

It can take several months after a TT before your hormones stabilize.  It's really quite irresponsible that your doctors haven't tested you in three months.

It might be time to find a new doctor.  Don't let these keep you sick.
