I have a good friend whose parents are artists. My friend's mother and his mother in law are going through breast cancer right now but let me ask him if he knows anyone who would take on our not so well known cause.
Any suggestions??
I had actually thought of the ribbon symbol with a butterfly on one side. I know guys, kind of feminine but the thyroid gland doesn't look like a football! :-)
How about a nice, soft, silk material choker with lots of material and soft soft fluffly folds to wear around the neck the first few weeks ... this, as nothing else felt comfortable for weeks near the incision .... Now, let's see .... maybe a pendant of some sort can hang in the middle with a deformed butterfly wearing a thyroid ribbon :: wink wink ::
C~
lol to both of you! i really want a pretty necklace..maybe one that points to my scar??? haha!
Rachel
Ummmm . . .you mean SCARS. Come on girl, we are the few, the proud, the ones with *TWO* thyroid surgeries!!!
Get some sleep! General anesthetic does NOT count for rest. :-)
Love ya
Wait two scars .... do I qualify as 2 scars even though my 2nd one isn't thyroid :::: wink wink wink ? ::::: C~
Good Luck, we know you will be fine!
Rest Rest rest!!!
Cheers,
Scott
Im not tryin gto scare the kids w/ a deformed butterfly LOL
~Rachel
TT today!
:-) Good point. The scar is frightening enough for little kids. I had one ask me if I was like Frankenstein. :-/ I said "yeah, but just not as rich." I thought his mother was going to die of embarrassment. :-)
Okay, no jewelry of the scary butterfly that haunts my dreams (and medical bills). :-)
so no one really knows of any jewelry places? I seriously cant find ANYTHING but cheapo stuff....
~Rachel
No . . . but I *swear* I'm going to find a good artist to make those angry, deformed butterflies for all of us! :-)
Get some rest - you have surgery tomorrow!!
Hugs, love, and best of everything Rachel!!!
