Recent Test Results

I had some blood work done recently when I switched doctors and the test results for my thyroid apparently came back a bit low. They told me to call back (it was a message system that had my results) in three months to do a retest, so obviously they don't think its serious. The problem I'm having with this is that I looked up symptoms that come with hypothyroidism and, yes, I do have quite a few, but some of the symptoms that are listed are the exact opposite in me. I find that I'm hot all the time (I live in Arizona so that's to be expected, but little stuff makes me sweat like no other and I've never had that problem before) and I haven't had a period in about three months. I'm going to try and get ahold of my doctor but I was wondering about other opinions. Also, I am extremely tired all the time but at night time I have insomnia. Just looking for some feedback to my questions.

We do see it here on the community as ex. some get anxiety when hyper and others from hypo ... the only way to tell is when you take meds if it gets better or worse .. you may want to call back and ask for the lab #s and definitely repost for some more opinions .. ?

WELCOME!

I get insomnia and my blood labs were normal.  I sweat a lot more now, but I am cold during the day.  I also feel like my heart races at night when it is time to sleep.  I have a heterogeneous goiter (I am thinking hashi) but that is about all I know.

I get nigh sweats, but am always cold during the day. Below 78, i get cold. Currently at work and I have a space heater underneathe my desk running.

I suffer from insomnia, but have since my TT back in 94. I don't get tired or exhausted at all. Lazy maybe, but not tired, fatigued, or exhausted.

I have been on synthroid for the last 14 yrs.

If it was your TSH that was low, then most likely, you are having symptoms of Hyperthyroidism.  I'd certainly have the the lab work done again in 3 months.
