Hi, you should see a doctor that specializes in hormone therapy, and have a complete hormone panel done. They should be able to guide you on how to proceed. I have premature ovarian failure because of undiagnosed hypothyroidism. There are progesterone creams over the counter you can use day 14 to 26, but in your case I strongly advise you to see a doctor to guide you, and to tell you honestly how good are your chances. Progesterone helps sustain the pregnancy not just help you conceive. Best of luck to you!
Is TSH the only thing that's being tested in relation to thyroid? What are your Free T3 and Free T4 levels? Those are much more important than TSH...
Well for years my TSH was over 300.00 nd my t3 and t4 were in the negative. I just has my level checked and tsh was 0.13
Thyroid hormones are necessary for conceiving and carrying a fetus to full term, also, so it's best not to try to get pregnant until all of your hormone levels are optimal. Since both, the thyroid and reproductive system are part of the endocrine system, you might try an endocrinologist, but, possibly an ob/gyn could help you, as well, as long as they understand the importance of getting the thyroid hormones to an optimal level, not just "into the reference ranges"...
What are your actual, current, thyroid hormone levels? Please post them, along with reference ranges so we can see exactly where you are. We can help you from there...
Why did you have thyroidectomy?
