This is a very old thread and I doubt you will get a response from ifupleze. The important thing for a hypo patient is to get Free T4 up to the middle of the range and Free T3 in the upper part of its range, as necessary to relieve symptoms. Symptom relief has to be all important, not just test results.
Hypo patients taking T4 meds often find that their body is not adequately converting the T4 to T3. If you will please post your thyroid related test results and reference ranges, we can try to assess if your problem is inadequate conversion or inadequate dosage of Levo.
In addition, hypo patients are frequently too low in the ranges for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin. Have you tested for those?
Hi. I recently within the week began Armour 60 after years of levothyroxine use. Last dosage of 125 mcg and was fatigued, bloated, burning feet. While I am adjusting to the Armour, I have noticed a bit more energy in spurts but am having general muscle aches, especially shoulder, arms, legs....that I didnt have on the levo. I have to go back to the Endo after 30 days to check levels on Armour. Is there anything I can do or to supplement with to help the muscle aches? Are you on Armour or Synthroid. I was just feeling so lousy on the levo that I begged to try the natural Armour for the first time and Dr finally said yes.
Hi. Thank you for your advice. I have a ? about your weightloss, did you do something different with your food or did it really happen like the dr.'s say when your level balances your weight will too? I am about 20 pounds over my normal weight and I cannot budge it with workouts or food changes. Did you ever have muscle or joint soreness especially after a workout? Thank you so much!!
Rachel
Yes, it does get better with time, but give it time. Maybe 6 weeks or more if your TSH levels out that fast. I am still working on my levels after 6 months but I lost 20 lbs. Also, make sure they check your adrenals, too, or you might end up having the problems I have had. Hang in there.
