folicular lesion in right thyroid

iam a female 24 yrs ..i have a painless nodule on right thyroid lobe from 2 months. Its small in size but visible.I got 2 FNAC done.
1st said no signs of malignancy ,presence of folecular sheets and suggested nodular goitre the second one suggested folicular leision .
Now i am worried as doctors say i need thyrodoctomy. From my studies on internet i find that majority of folecular leisons are benign and this can be differentiated by Cold Nodule or Hot Nodule. My question is wether the hot cold nodule differentiation is reliable? shall it be done?  As per my doctor it is not a proper diagnostic test. Please suggest.

I have been suggested a hemithyrodoctomy by a doctor and associated histopathology of the specimen and if found cancerous the second throid would also be removed.Another doctor has suggested that it needs just hemithyroidoctomy.I feel the first doctors suggestion to be over diagnosis. Please help me in deciding.

Hot nodule is  associated with low TSH and high or normal T4
In order to differentiate between follicular neoplasm (that has 17% chance of cancer) and benign follicular lesion the amount of colloid in sample should be evaluated (NO colloid means neoplasm and surgery is recommnded).
