Thyroid

Dear Mark, I am a 46 year old male with Hypothyroidism. I have been taking Bromocriptine for 2 years and i have had no result.  I also take synthroid but nothing seems to help. I hope you can give me some help because i am feeling the same even when using it.  Thanks.

Do you also have your most recent thyroid labs you could post here for everyone to see? Much easier to comment if we can see some history and labs.  :)

I am not sure who Mark is, but I have some questions for you.
Bromcriptine is a treatment for a prolactinoma.
Synthroid is for your thyroid.

Perhaps you need more testing as when you have a pituitary and a thyroid issue, often you have more endocrine issues - and you need constant testing and tweaks in medications. Also, it seems that those with pituitary tumors also need a bit of T3 to feel better as they do not convert the T4 to T3 well.

Are you being followed by a neuro-endo?
