Thyronorm

Hi ,

I was taking the thyronorm (150 ) mcg from india.since i moved to US , my doctor has moved me to L-Throxine (150)mcg

Is thyronorm and L-thyroxine both the same ? will there be any changes i will feel because of shifting medication. Is it correct to have the same dosage for both the tablets ?

I was little intrigued as the thyronorm contained thyroxine sodium as one of its ingredients. but L-thyroxine did not

any help would be appreciated

Thanks

After reading your post I was curious as to whether the 150 mcg dosage is effectively relieving your hypo symptoms?  If you look through this listing of 26 typical hypo symptoms, do you still have any of these?  The reason I ask is that a majority of patients taking large doses of T4 meds do not adequately convert T4 to T3, resulting in a Free T3 level that is too low in the range and causes hypo symptoms.
