Tinnitus here anyone?

I know that tired sleepymama and I have discussed this in the Vitamin D forum, but I was curious if any other people here with questionable thyroid issues have problems with tinnitus.  I have been battling this now for about 1.5 years and that above anything else is what drives me insane.

I want to know if this is a common thyroid problem (my numbers are within normal ranges but some are at the bottom of the range).  I've listed my numbers before and my doctors say within normal.

Anyhow, just curious if any of you experience this besides me and sleepy mama.?

I can go a few days without it and then days like today I wake up with it and have it all day long….

aaahhhhh

Thank you!

I have it too with hypothyroidism with levels in range but something weird happened that shocked me but educated me.
I didn't connect the two until I had a medication change.
I was on a compounded generic armour and my aches were getting bad so the dr suggested I try nature throid  because it is manufactured and more concise than compounded.
Long story short, I knew I was over medicated in two weeks because I was hyper and started having headaches etc BUT ALL MY ACHES AND PAINS VANISHED IN MYARMS , KNEE MUSCLES and feet.
They changed me to synthroid bec the blood test didtn show the overmedicated so they thought it was a reaction to meds hence l 4 weeks later on synthroid equivalent dosage showed overmedicated---2 weeks test looked fine BUTMY body said something is way off.
Long story short within a month all aches and muscles aches came back  when I stayed on synthroid name brand and they kept lowering the dosage so I asked my dr if I could try adding t3 cytomel because my free t3 in low in the normal range but t4 looks fine and my tsh was rising....I only take 3-5mg a day of cytomel and it has been almost 3 weeks, it may be a tad better but all the studies done that connected this replaced 50mcg of t4 with t3 but remember t3 is 4 times the strength of t4 such as 5mg of cytomel is equal to 20mg of t4.
Now I am on the bench of trying nature throid again since it has t1 t2 t3 t4 all in it which may have been the difference but I have been told it takes 3-4 weeks before you notice anything. I hope this helps....google dr lowe and the fibromyalgia hypothyroid connection..... keep me posted what you find out or try successfully or not.

Thyroid lab tests "in range" doesn't always mean "optimal".  I do see patients who have thyroid issues and tinnitus at the same time, however I can't especially link the two conditions. Even though other thyroid type symptoms resolve, I can't say that tinnitus always improves too.
