It takes 4-6 weeks for the medication to reach full potential in your body, so it's not surprising that you haven't lost weight, after only a couple of weeks.  Some of us have a very hard time with that, even when labs are back to normal and symptoms are gone.

We usually recommend not taking med prior to having blood drawn, particularly, if your dose contains a T3 component.  Looks like you  might just be on synthroid, but still best to wait.

Thank you for your response.  I still havent lost weight.  I do have more energy.  I go back the end of July.  I appreciate your time.
Are you suppose to take your meds before the blood test?

Hi Debbie -

I'm going to copy your "p.s." into this thread so it's all in the same place:

".i dont drink
after this lab result he gave me 100 mcg Synthroid/Lex
then i gained another 4 lbs."

If you want to add something, get back into your original thread and post a comment...that way it's all in the same place and easier for u to put it all together.

From your labs, it looks like you are quite hypothyroid.  So, I think the doctor was right in starting you on meds.  It takes 4-6 weeks for the meds to reach their full potential in your blood and sometimes more time for symptoms to go away, so don't expect your weight gain to stop immediately.

How long have you been on 100 mcg?  When are you due for follow-up blood work?
