On 11/26/15, your FT4 then looked good. It was 45% of range with a 50% target. FT3 was high, but I suspect you'd taken your Armour before the draw???
Sixty mg of Armour is roughly equivalent to 100 mcg T4. So, there may have been a slight increase when you switched over.
Have you had antibody tests to see if you have Hashi's?
I'll be interested to see your most recent labs when you get the results.
I was taking 30mg twice a day, but I just didn't like the way I felt after I took it. Basically the same symptoms as the tirosint. I've haven't felt well on any of the thyroid meds in the past and I've been on many. Blood levels always are in the lower range but with the way I feel on the meds it's a never ending story. Just not sure where to go from here.
Blood work from 11/26/15 on 60mg of armour
TSH- 0.046 LO Range: 0.178-4.530
FT4- 1.22 Range: 0.08-1.73
FT3- 7.1 HI Range 2.0-4.7
Switched to 30mg armour
Blood work from 12/17/15 on 30mg armour
TSH- 0.716 Range: 0.178-4.530
FT4 - 0.66 LO Range: 0.80-1.73
FT3 - 2.7 Range: 2.0-4.7
How much Armour had you been taking before the switch? Do you have labs to post on that dose? With reference ranges, please, if you do.
You're definitely still in a transition period. The T3 in Armour is out of your system in just a few days. However, since Tirosint is T4 only, it takes a while for that to build in your system and reach its full potential. So, you're kind of in the gap between the two.
In terms of thyroid symptoms, how do you feel?
