What to do about a thyroid nodule?

Hiall,I have a growing thyroid nodule: February 1.5cm April 2.7cm My endo put me on synthroid in February but the dose was too high ( TSH now 0.036uIU/ml). I had a biopsy on March but was inconclusive. Ultrasound showed calcifications, hence the biopsy.I have lost 10lbs since March! Had eye pain and palpitations. My endo seems to switch between "let's wait and see' to 'let's do more tests' depending on my blood test results.Questions:Why did my vit D level drop dramatically? Why has my blood pressure dropped?  90/60 at the momentShould I have another biopsy? - This is what he now wantsIf it is inconclusive again, what should I do?My endo also says I have pre-diabetes. Has anyone else got both thyroid and insulin resistance?I'm fit, exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, not overweight ( quite thin) so the pre-diabetes is not related to bad health. I know I should go for another opinion but thought I'd ask you guys first.

ENT is not odd, they are ear, nose THROAT.  They do the surgery.  My suggestion is get a good one, this is a delicate surgery, not good to let a hack do it.  Make sure they do at least 50 a year...the complications that are possible:  hoarseness due to laryngeal nerve damage...you could lose your voice for life.  Also, if you lose the nerve on both sides (extremely rare!) you could have a tracheostomy the rest of your life.  If they don't preserve your parathyroid, you could have problems with calcium and be forced to test your blood at least 4 times a day...Don't take it lightly, get a GOOD SURGEON!  Good luck!

I would get another opinion.  Try an Ear Nose Throat (Otolaryngologist).  The calcifications would worry me.  Something is not right.   I don't like the fact that it is growing either.  Lots of symptoms...The only way to really know if it is or is not cancerous is to have it taken out surgically (it is not a tough surgery to go through) and then have the mass biopsied.  Good luck!
