Stella, thanks a bunch for the info....at least I have hope now.....so I just wait to get a blood test to see what my TSH levels are.....how do you check the PH levels???
JoAnn
Morning,
This is going to be a hard one for me to tell you, but I am only reflecting on my situation and everyone is different.
I started with the "white tongue" no pain- but my tongue looked weird. I commented to my family all the time. Then the bumps started- then acid then the "burning"
I hate to say, but I dealt with that for 2 years with our medical help. No one could help me.
Then that is when I started checking on how I could get rid of it. That is when I started stumbling across the PH levels and thyroid medication. When I started my routine of trying to control my PH levels - the pain started going away and now my tongue (which still looks different) doesn't hurt anymore. no bumps in my mouth and the dryness has gone down alot. The most important symptom that has totally left me was that awful burning tongue and acid reflux. Those two were sending me over the top.
I think in order to get this uncontrol for you are two things: One, your TSH must get regulated to a normal state with your meds first. The best range to be in should be 1.0-1.5 maybe 2.0 tops. Then while you are trying to stabilize your thyroid TSH you also need to control your PH levels to about a 6.0. Once both of those are "normal" you may see a difference. TSh is a long process if your levels are way off the normal reference range. so depending on how off they are - that may determine when this will start to go away.
