Total thyroidectomy possible complication

I had very minimal swelling Friday when I had my thyroid removed until this afternoon. I did a lot around the house and gardening and I probably shouldn't have taken on as much physical activities as I did but now my incision is pretty swollen. I've iced it a couple times but the swelling doesn't seem to be going away.... It's like puffy above the incision and then below it it's hard.... I'm not in any additional pain but I'm just worried all the moving around I did today could have hurt it in some way or strained it? I am thinking of calling me surgeon in the morning I am probably overacting but where it appears rather suddenly, it makes me worry.... Any thoughts?

Call your surgeon. It may be nothing (or gravity!), it may be bleeding from a torn suture - which may or may not be important. Your post surgical discharge note should have told you what to look for.
