Wondering about going ahead with surgery

I'm supposed to undergo an  Austin Bunionectomy on the 19th.  I underwent a preop physical and without surprise my THS is 8.53. I knew that I felt rotten and am in the middle of going back to Armour after a year on Synthroid. I never felt right on synthetics and had hoped to get back on track before surgery.
Has anyone else undergone a procedure like this while still being hypo? I worry that swelling will be an issue increasing post op pain.

Thnx. I knew somebody here would have run into a similar situation.
I do plan to look into both my t3 and t4 levels.

You might find that the Armour might kick-in in time for the surgery.
Being hypo of course, is no fun, but I don't see it to be any reason why you shouldn't have your surgery.
I had my big toe wedge resected on the same day as my partial thyroidectomy. ( I always said it was a 2 for one offer! LOL!) and I had no trouble at all with any pain or swelling, and I am notoriously a sweller! I was very hypo at the time.
I think you should still look into your thryoid levels and keep an eye on that, though. As I said the Armour may kick in enough for you to reverse your hypo.
Good luck!

I do not know any of my levels. I have only received a snail mail report with a request to call in, which I do plan to do on Monday.
Yes. I have stressed that I do prefer to know all of my labs so I assume he will share more info later,.
