adenoma

brain tumour pitutory adenome -  after operation why the radiation is required ? post operative mri showing macroadenoma still exits. what is to do ?

It is to prevent a recurrence of the tumour. It depends on the type of adenoma you had as to them giving radiation. It may take several treatments for it to become non-active. It may well still be there, but then it will become non-functioning once radiation given.
