Even though the range for B12 that you show is 192 - 663, there are lots of ranges shown that go up to 1000. In Europe and Japan I am told the lower limit is 500. Most of us seem to do better when our B12 is up in the 800 - 900 level. Vitamin B12 does not accumulate to toxic levels. It is reported that consuming large quantities does not cause side effects or high levels in your system, whether you get it through food or from taking high-dose supplements. My last B12 was 1266, so I've cut back a bit.
Just to make sure, you said B12 is in the upper range, and then in the end you said i take B12 supplements aswell.
Could you please clear that 1 out for me
As I mentioned your Free T4 and Free T3 levels do not stand out as a problem. Your D and ferritin levels are too low and may be preventing full usage of your serum thyroid hormone. I agree with your doctor that you should supplement with D3 and a good form of iron, like ferrous fumarate, or ferrous sulfate, or ferrous glutamate. I had similar levels and had to use 2000 IU of D3 and about 75 mg of an iron supplement to achieve optimal levels. Along with the iron I also take some Vitamin C to prevent any constipation. D needs to be about 60, B12 in the upper end of its range and ferritin should be about 70 minimum for men.
I have no knowledge of H. Pylori, and I'm not sure why you have reason to be suspicious about it. I think if you get your D, B12 and ferritin levels optimized you will feel a big improvement.
First of all, I wanna thank you for your help.
I have done some more blood testing and here are the results,
however i have done these while having already eaten beans with half a
sausage. Not sure if this matters or corrupts the results a bit
and perhaps ''boosts'' my ferritin or b12 lvls.
TSH 2.30 (0.27-4.20) Miu/L
Anti-TG 19.7 (0.0-115-0) IU/ml)
Anti-Tpo 19.2 (0.0 - 34.0) IU/ml)
From this i can see that TSH has lowered since my first test which was 3.88
Also did a scan on my thyroid with color doppler, and doctor said it was
a little bit off.
I tested my stool for occult bleeding aswell and it was negative, but i am
positive in H. pylori.
Is H.pylori something that i need to treat. i do not puke or something like that but i do have a little bit of a itchy anus which spread to my balls.
Could H.pylori be the cause of it?
I have checked this out with my doctor and there isnt any rash or redish dry skin, it looks completely normal but sometimes it itches.
I treated it with cortikosteroid cream for 5 days, it got rid of the itchiness for a while but now it has returned
Here are also some more blood tests, but these
Feritin 51 (35-400) ug/L
B12 427 (192-663) ng/L
Folic acid 17.5 (10.4-42.4) nmol/L
Vitamin D 28.4 (50+) nmol/L
From this ican see my ferritin and vitamin D lvls are fairly low,
Is this an indication of some thyroid or adrenal gland slugishness issue.
and now the last one is
Imunoglobulin E ( 253) -<100
Which means i am allergic to something, most likely to pollen or something since its spring.
My doctor reccomended that i do have some small issues that needed to be treated, but he wasnt hasty and said that i should come back next week.
He said that i should take Ferritin tablets to fix my ferritin lvls along with vitamin D. which i am fine with.
But the thing that scares me is taking thyroid supplements which he also said i could take.
This all kind of scares me and i am kinda wishing i could just take some
Ferritin supplements with vitamin D and that my body will solve everything else by itself.
I am only 22 years old, and taking medication this early really makes me feel un-easy.
I have had big dreams when i was younger and i still do.
But now i keep wondering is my body even capable of achieving my goals?
I'd like to also ask a coupple of questions on how human body works.
Is it possible that I somehow placebo affected my body into working less
optimally just so I would find something wrong with me
From a review of your thyroid test results, yes the TSH is in the high end of the range, but your Free T4 and Free T3 are at 58 and 65 percent of their ranges respectively. That does not stand out as a thyroid problem like we usually see where both are in the low end of their ranges. So, if it is a thyroid problem it has yet to really show in those tests. From that, the other thyroid tests that would really complete the picture would be to test for the antibodies of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. Two tests are required, TPO ab and TG ab. Also, occasionally a problem with Reverse T3 dominance crops up. The best measure of that would be to test for Reverse T3 and also Free T3 at the same time to determine the ratio of Free T3 to Reverse T3
Some of your symptoms also relate to being low in ferritin. Typical symptoms of that are shown below. Low ferritin can also affect the conversion of T4 into T3 and Reverse T3.
• Achiness
• Weakness
• Fatigue
• Dizziness
• Headaches
• Faster heart rate
• Hair loss
• Foggy thinking
• Memory problems
• Loss of sex drive
• Depression
• Increased irritability
• Heartburn
• Abdominal pain
• Pica, or the compulsive eating of non-food items
• Pagophagia, or the compulsive eating of ice
• Numbness or tingling of extremities
Common Visual Signs
In addition to the list of possible symptoms, those with low levels of ferritin may also have visible signs of deficiencies that can be seen physically. These symptoms may include:
• Easy or excessive bruising
• Paleness of skin
• Brittle nails
• Sores at the corner of the mouth
Hypo patients (if that is the case) are frequently too low in the ranges for
Vitamin D B12 and ferritin. So I suggest that you also request those tests. When more results are available, please post, and we will be happy to help interpret further.
So i did some testing both TSH and complete blood count

Also did a blood pressure test 110/70mmHg which is borderline low
Based on these results i can see that my TSH is borderline high
and my white blood cells are slightly over the border.
Also my hemoglobin and hematocrit and my Fe levels are very low
Combined with the symptoms i mentioned on my first post
(pale skin, cold fingers & feet or cold intolerance , acne,
weak immune system, getting tired quickly when playing sports)
I should also mention that I eat fairly healthy.
Fruits and vegetables every day, rye bread, good clean meats.
no alcohol, no cigaretes, no coffee and medium amount of cookies and sweets.
I'm not sure what to make of all of this, alot of my results are borderline
and i'm just lost in all of this.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated
No, you are not thinking too much, so I suggest that you should get some tests done, just to check it out Specifically, you should test for Free T3, Free T4 (not the same as Total T3 and Total T4), and TSH as a start. Then you should also be aware that if your test results fall within the so-called "normal" ranges, that may not be adequate. The ranges are far too broad to be functional for everyone. If you will get those tests done and post results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report, we will be glad to help interpret and advise further.
