LM - get this link up on Health Pages - OK? great source of information here to refer to - this post may get lost down the pages and this stuff is good reading.
I think medical journalism decided years ago to make up new words even if they weren't needed, so the average person wouldn't even bother to read it.
Reading some of this stuff makes my head hurt.
Feel free to tell us the interpreted version of all this in the future! LOL
Thanks a Million. I spend days and nights reading this stuff. Do not know about you guys but the more I learn, the more I understand, the more able I am to ASK the right questions of my Doctor when in his office. Remember ... The Doctor begins his examination as soon as he opens the door.... Prior to saying Hello... There is so much they know, they do not either have the time or figure it is over our heads... It is up to US to gather the knowledge .... Make informed decisions and ask the right questions.
Way past the technical stuff is more my kind of reading, and yes it looks a good read when you get down the page..thanks Lazymoose.
I totally agree, but want to check it out more fully.........unfortunately, I don't get many "rainy days off" unless it happens to be a weekend that I need to catch up on laundry, housework, etc................lol
Yes, part of it is a little overly technical, best left for a rainy day off (if your not hypo at the time!).
With all the info, it needs a better sense of order to it, but that is a lot of stuff.
I took a look at the site -- it does appear that there's a ton of information there; however, I must admit that what I saw of the antibody chapter seems too technical for most lay people.
I'm going to save the link, though in order to check out some of the other info. I looked briefly at the Hashimoto's chapter and again, once you get past some of the technical stuff, there's some good info.
