Possible Thyroid Problems

Recently had Thyroid test done by Quest Labs with the following results:
T4, Total 12.1 ug/dl (lab range 4.5-12.5)  Normal high range
T3 Uptake 25.4% (range 27.8-40.7)  out of range (low)
T4 Free 3.1 ug/dl (lab range 1.6-3.7)   Normal but higher end
TSH 3.00 mIU/L (range .40-4.5)
Thyroid Perioxidase AB less than 10 (lab less than 35)
Thyroglobulin AB less 20 IU/mL (lab less than 20)  Seems right on the high number here.

Thought I was going through perimenopause, but FSH under range and LH normal.  I have been sweating sometimes at night and sweating at work in the cold months when everyone else is cold.  I have heavy heart palpitations off and on throughout the day feeling like my heart is going to jump out.  Often at times woken up from them.   Sometimes have insomnia.   Tired frequently. Hair thinner and hard now to keep nails long.    Based on these results, do I have a thyroid problem.  Can't really find anything with ranges like mine.  GYN doctor wants to repeat thyroid tests in 6 months.  Daughter diagnosed at 13 having Hasimoto's.  My  mother has age related thyroid problems.  Both are on synthroid. Should I be concerned with my numbers and go see an Endocrinologist or are they nothing to worry about and just live with the current symptoms?

I am 44 years old. Never had an ultrasound of the thyroid.  Have symptoms of both.  It is the memory that gets me the most right now.  Sometimes I walk into a room and forget what I went in for.  I'm thinking it is my thyroid since it is not FSH.  I tend to be at the high end of normal.  Read on-line that some doctors will treat you if your TSH is 3.0 and above.  Optimal is between 1.0-2.0.   Had FSH and LH done and both say no way in even perimenopause since test was on the lowest possible number.    Had gone the cardiologist twice in the past four years and keeps saying nothing wrong with heart, but can see heavy palps on EKG and holter.  Think they called them benign PVC's and also have pigemnies(?)  These are rolling palps, maybe 16 irregular ones at a time.  Get woken up some nights because they are so bad and feel them all through the day.   Doctors have never check my T3 or T4 before only TSH.  First time it was 3.5, but this time 3.0.  May go and see an endocrinologist.  Had taken daughter to one after her TSH level was high at 13 years old and endo diagnosed her with Hashimoto's.  She's now 23 and sees a regular family doctor for treatment.
Sounds like you have hyper if your TSH is 0 and probably losing weight.  If your having an MRI are they looking at your pituitary gland? Hope everything turns out ok.

you didn't say how old you are.  Have you had an ultrasound of your thyroid?  I was fooling with the GYN also.  Finally went to a FPP to keep on top of it.  Don't know if she'll refer me to endochronologist or not.  Have had thyroid uptake scans to see if thyroid taking iodine.  But my TSH was 0, so am having a MRI of head.  If I were you (and I'm not)  I wouldn't want to wait 6 months.
I've had heart palpitations, too.  Scary.  Best of luck.  but follow your gut.  If you don't want to wait, don't wait.  I wish I wouldn't have wasted time waiting for the GYN.
