OK Folks got a question

I had my TT on November 19th and have had 2 labs since the surgery

1week after surgery

My TSH was 9.14 (0.34-5.60)

FT-4             0.40 (0.58-1.64)

FT-3             2.0   (2.1-3.7 )

Second labs 4 weeks after surgery

TSH             17.32

FT-4              0.78

FT-3              2.5

(same ranges).

I have had bouts with insomnia when I was hyper from the Graves and I'm now suffering from it again is their anything I can take to help

Thanks Mike.

To AR-10 I also had the RAI but went Hyper after 1 1/2 months (6 weeks on Synthroid) so I opted for the surgery.

They only just upped me dosage last week so maybe and I have been on the Synthroid for only 5 weeks so maybe I need to give it more time.

I did sleep pretty good when I went Hypo (TSH around 42) after RAI but that could have been because I was zipping right along for 2 years prior to that.

Sorry kl42. I thought I was talking to Irish Mike.

Um...since I don't know your history...you should ignore about half of that.

Sorry. :o)

Which time?
LOL!!

My TSH right now is around 0.17.

When my TSH goes above 2.0 I am hypo.

The question you ask is relative. It's hard to answer because it depends on the condition of your body and your recent history. I had a TSH of 100.0+ one time and I felt bad, but I worked half a day. When my TSH was 42+ I was sick as a dog. Too sick to shower. I was still sick when it had dropped to 3.0, but I was starting to feel better.

I've been bouncing around between 1.9 and 0.09 for several months and I don't feel too perky right now.

I had RAI ablation almost a year ago (Jan 21), and my Endo told me then that it might take a year to get my hormone levels evened out. She was right. I am possibly going to change strengths again soon.

It's not just what your hormone levels are. It also entails how much damage your body takes before your levels are correct. It can take a while for the body to repair damage after your hormones are stabilized.

Your body has been beat up from the Grave's. Then you went hypo, to an extreme for you, I am sure. Another shock to the body. You are not going to feel normal as soon as you get your TSH down and your hormones up. It may take a few months to get back on the horse.

I had to file for disability.
Hopefully you will recover a lot quicker than I am.

I had insomnia for about a week or two after my RAI treatment, while my TSH was dropping from 42.0 to around 3.0 or so.

It straightened out as my levels did.
Hopefully your's will cease soon.

from 100mcs to 150 mcs.

I had not had a blood test done 5 weeks prior to surgery and I was going to a new Endo so they wanted updated labs.

I really haven't noticed any joint painotherthey getting old (52 years old).
