Oy vey… i may try the 125 125 112 125 125 112 plan :) I sort of liked that idea...
If it's not too uncomfortable, I'd just stick with it...consist-iness is next to godliness, you know.
I was obviously hyper on 131 mcg of synthroid. IM on 125, day 4ish. Notice a difference but still feel the hyper bleeding through. What would be a good game plan for this? should i take 125 now with a difference of 6 mcg, or should i though a couple 112's in there in the beginning to help get me down. any advice?
thanks.. feeling a drop better. still feel like i get the death wave but its not as powerful as before. had a great time today. Probably the best I've felt in 3 years on xmas. I remember the first one. Ohh Lord.. I started 10-2010. Xmas was 2 mos later. no one knew what was wrong with me. I was told i Ruined the family xmas. Thank God thats over. thanks everyone. Happy Happy. even those in states no one has ever heard of..
Save them for a rainy day...or you can make a lamp out of them by filling a glass vase with all the pretty colors arranged as a picture. LOL
Glad you're feeling a tad better...Merry Christmas.
That's excellent! keep up the good work!
day 2, feeling a drop better. don't feel like I'm going to strangle someone. Now , what to do with these qty 100 137's i just got ugh
Glad you got confirmation.
kl42, both numbers have to do with pressure in your arteries. The top number (systolic) is when your heart is pumping; the bottom number (diastolic) is when your heart is at rest.
A beta blocker is a thought...
Have you checked your Blood pressure? in me the ringing in my ears is loud as my BP is high. which could be connected to being hyper or hypo, the ringing goes away as the dose goes down and as my BP gets into normal range 120/80 or lower especially the second number(80) as I think that has to deal with pressure in your arteries. maybe a beta blocker could help. throwing out ideas. Kevin
EUREKA!
got a call from my new doctor today. " your t3 free dialysis came back today, lower your t4 immediately and up your t3. You are on too much t4 and not enough t3, take it down a notch on the t4 and you can use the t3 as you need it up to 15 mcg in doses of 2.5, you are low t3 and high t4" Amen and pass the Torah!
i took your advice and went from 131 mcg to 125 mcg day two. seemed to of felt better a hair today. I have a call to him for his blessing as I don't want to do anything without this guy aware of it. How long if I'm overmedicated do you think it will take for me to feel the true effects of the drop even if its just subtle? 4 weeks?
Sounds overmedicated to me...as I told you in my PM, ask your doctor about a little bit of a reduction AND GIVE IT TIME TO WORK. What you feel today has to do with everything you've taken for the past 4-6 weeks, not what you took today.
back pain gone. that was hypo. We are like the chicken and the egg on here. I have had everything tested. There are only two things wrong with me. Low testosterone and no thyroid.
Its not stress over life issues. Its a physical agitation. Like I'm sitting here and i feel like i just drank 6 cups of coffee and i am afraid to interact with my family because I'm afraid they will say something silly ill misinterpret it and want to be left alone.
I am either hypo, or I'm hyper. I don't know which. My labs read as perfect. But I cant tell. isn't there a couple questions i can ask myself?
Key questions: What i always do is compare what I'm feeling to how I felt when I KNOW I was hypo. Am I nodding off in the car (passenger!) or at my computer? How's my CTS? How's the old back doing?
We all get tired. We all get aggitated. We all get irritated. As Barb said, there are a multitude of reasons.
How do you feel after a second glass of wine? LOL
As goolarra said, the only "perfect" labs are the ones with which you have no symptoms. You still have symptoms, so either your thyroid labs aren't "perfect" for you, or you're dealing with issues that haven't been diagnosed yet.
The first thing I'd ask myself, if I were in your situation(been there, done that), is whether or not my agitation and irritation is really a symptom of thyroid or if there is something else going on in my life that could cause that --- yeah, I've spent long periods of time being irritated/agitated and it had nothing to do with thyroid. Might have been frustration over my work/co-worker, dealing with my Auntie, and let's not forget the aggravation a spouse can bring into the picture when we don't feel well and they don't understand, so expect more than we can produce. That's probably the hardest.
I'll make a deal with you --- I'll take your ear ringing and you take my peripheral neuropathy that's related to many years of untreated B12 deficiency (courtesy of incompetent doctors) and has nothing to do with thyroid... I guarantee that by the time you spend a few days feeling like your feet are wrapped in hot coals and several times/day someone hits them with an electrical cattle prod, you'll beg for your ear ringing back again...
Now that I'm into it "hot and heavy", I'd say that the neuropathy makes both thyroid and ear ringing, a walk in the park. But of course, that's me and your experience is different.
I honestly cant tell if i need more or less hormone. I don't really know . My tests point to perfect labs but i feel not so perfect. Are there key questions i can ask myself to figure out where i stand?
well phooey on you!
I just don't know… I'm so agitated and irritated most of the time. thats my main complaint. Not tired, no aches, no pains, no nail cracking. Feel better if i drink a glass of wine. Just agitated. and the ear ringing which i know I'm screwed with.
My symptoms persist due to cellular issues. :(
Direct dialysis is supposed to correct for the influence of other factors, e.g. taking estrogen, etc. It's supposed to be a more useful and sensitive test than immunoassay.
There's really no such thing as PERFECT labs. Perfect labs are where you, as an individual, feel well. If you feel off in either direction, then a correction is indicated. Rules of thumb for FT3 and FT4 are merely suggestions until you find where you feel best. Ultimately, symptoms have to drive treatment.
