Methimazole and pregnancy
Has anyone been on or know anyone who was on Methimazole (Tapazole) while pregnant? I know its not the recommended treatment for thyroid while pregnant but its the only thing that works for me and my doctor says I need to be on it. I am on a very low dose of it but am worried about risks.
my doctor said not to get pregnant while on either medication but if it did happen you would need to be on PTU Methimazole is no good while pregnant

i don't know anyone who's been on tapazole while pregnant. get another dr's opinion at least. does your dr say you need to be on tapazole - or does she/ he say you need to be on medication.
tapazole is really not recommended for while pregnant. you should be using PTU... and that it'd be a low dose, i wonder if that'd be ok...
